Construction on the Zhongshan Industrial Technology Research Center and Project Incubation Center, a key project in Guangdong Province, was topped out on November 20.
As one of the three main parts of the Zhongshan Science and Technology Innovation Park, the research center located in South District covers a total area of 173 mu and a total construction area of 209,200 square meters, with an investment of 1.417 billion yuan. It will be built into a landmark project of Zhongshan participating in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Science and Technology Innovation Center construction, promoting the integration of technology innovation between Shenzhen and Zhongshan, and linking to innovation resources from Hong Kong and Macao.
By integrating the existing innovation platforms established by universities and research institutes in Zhongshan and serving the Zhongshan Institute of Advanced Cryogenic Technology, the center aims to become a high-end science and technology park combining major innovation carriers, technological research and development, achievement commercialization, enterprise incubation and sci-tech services.
The project includes a public service platform, a sci-tech project incubation center, an exhibition building, staff dormitories as well as supporting facilities such as roads, landscaping programs, lighting devices and drainage systems. The project is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025.
