Miguel Yuan is the Chairman of the Elders of Jan Ying Benevolent Association in the United States. He and his wife have three children. Each family member has a different nationality, in order to meet the requirements of the immigration regulation. However, Miguel still keeps the Chinese traditions to make a living in society and to treat other people. He also teaches his children that gratitude for what you have is the most important thing in life. Every time when he returns Zhongshan, Miguel loves to go to the Ancestral Temple of Ruan (Yuan) in Xiangjiao Village, where his grandfather took him to celebrate the "lighting ceremony" for his birth.
