The groundbreaking ceremony for the Vanyang Sci-tech Park, an industrial park renovation project in Dongfeng Town, was held on May 11.

The project occupies a land area of approximately 558 mu, with a total construction area of about 1.5 million square meters and a total investment of 3.4 billion yuan. It took only 12 minutes for the project to complete the whole approval process from land acquisition to starting construction.

The project includes a single customized workshop building, accessible workshops, bar-shaped standard factories and aerial parking facilities. The park will implement smart management and offer industrial services in finance, policies and etc for enterprises.

The project will be built as per a trillion-level intelligent household appliances industry cluster, with an estimated annual output value of 6.7 billion yuan. Plans include attracting some 400 enterprises and providing 11,000 jobs, with an estimated annual tax revenue of 240 million yuan.

Currently, there are already 205 enterprises from Dongfeng, Foshan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan intending to settle in the park.
