A delegation of over 250 members of the Federation of Hong Kong Zhongshan Community Organisations visited the Shishan Orchard in Fuchong Village, South District to taste nice fruits and experience the tremendous changes in their hometown on August 11.

"Just like these longan trees with strong roots and lush branches and leaves, our Ma family that has been developing in Hong Kong for long still retains strong connection with our hometown," said a member surnamed Ma.

He said Zhongshan is developing rapidly in recent years, and an increasing number of Hong Kong compatriots choose to start businesses, travel and take holidays, purchase houses and do investment back in their hometown. Particularly, after the ShenZhong Link's opening, it will be more time-saving and convenient to return home. He will definitely come back to South District for delicious food and beautiful scenery if there is a chance.

During this trip, the delegation would also go to Torch High-tech Zone and Huangpu Town to inspect industrial tourism, the small household appliances sector and rural construction, in order to gain a thorough understanding of Zhongshan's socio-economic development.
