Members of the Auckland Zhongshan Clan Association in New Zealand recently came back to their hometown Zhongshan.
The delegation visited the Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Park, the Zhongshan History Museum of Overseas Chinese and the Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen to experience the changes in Zhongshan.
It also toured Zuobu Village in Nanlang, Caobian Village in South District and Shengshi Village in Shaxi, witnessing the new charm of overseas Chinese hometowns.
Many delegation members are second- and third-generation overseas Chinese, and it was the first time they returned home with their families. The trip gave them an opportunity to have a deeper understanding of Zhongshan's development, and they said they would introduce and promote Zhongshan to more people after returning to New Zealand. They also sought their roots in Zhuxiuyuan and Hengmei villages.
