Zhongshan's Shiqi held the work conference for the second half of the year on July 23.

According to the meeting, in the first half of this year, Shiqi's GDP stood at 11.762 billion yuan and the total retail sales of consumer goods 12.61 billion yuan.

The meeting revealed that a batch of benchmark projects, including Zhongshan OCT Harbour and Freshippo, would open soon.

Zhongshan OCT Harbour has finished the final installation and is expected to open by the end of August at the earliest. The 13-hectare Shaju Park, located to the south of Zhongshan OCT Harbour, is under preliminary preparation.

Sam's Club is under construction and is expected to open in June or July next year.

Freshippo is in the decoration stage and is expected to open to the public in about one month.

Urban renewal is also in progress, with the renovation of Congshanfang Historical and Cultural Block completed.

It is worth mentioning that in the first half, Shiqi had signed 5 industrial projects in such fields as artificial intelligence, manufacturing and high-end consumption, and 2 of them have commenced. Another 10 key construction projects have completed an aggregate investment of 542 million yuan.
