In the warm spring of March, flowers at Zhongshan's first sponge eco-park are in full bloom, dressing Wulan Village in Huangpu Town in vibrant colors.

"Just a year ago, this was a wasteland with weeds and sewage. But now, it has become a park right at our doorstep. It is amazing!" A villager said.

Wuzhu Sponge Eco-park started construction in January 2024 and opened to the public in October 2024. The former Wuzhu Primary School was rebuilt into a rural library, surrounded by rivers, lakes, flowers, grass, trees, basketball courts and fitness equipment.

Wuzhu Sponge Eco-park has become a popular attraction in Huangpu Town. It also provides a comfortable space for recreation for employees from surrounding enterprises.
