??On August 22nd, Rule of Law in China, a feature programme of CCTV-1, introduced a case of legal aid handled by the Legal Aid Office in Zhongshan. In this case, a man with a first level of disability resulted from accidents received a compensatory payment of 1.2 million yuan, which is a typical case in China's progress of rule of law.
??In January of 2016, the 12348 hotline, which provides public legal service in Guangdong Province, received a phone call from Mrs Liu, whose husband was identified first level of disability and looked for help. The couple, both laid-off workers, wanted to fight for their own legal right through legal aid. The Legal Aid Office in Zhongshan assigned a lawyer, Wu Guihuan, to help them. Finally in the 7 years, Wu Guihuan, together with other legal aid lawyers, won over a financial compensation of more than 1.2 million for the couple.
