The "Universal Restaurant Inspection" food safety inspection was carried out on September 6 at the Zhongshan Experimental Middle School.
"The two canteens are generally in good condition and the school is urged to solve some minor problems," said Song Yuhui, Head of the Food and Beverage Safety Supervision Section of the Zhongshan Administration for Market Regulation, after the inspection.
Zhongshan Experimental Middle School is a national-level demonstration ordinary high school in Guangdong Province with 420 staff, more than 5,000 students, with 2 canteens. On that day, the Zhongshan Administration for Market Regulation called on deputies from the Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress, members of the CPPCC Zhongshan Committee, citizen representatives and media reporters to visit the school together.
The inspectors mainly examined key aspects such as food processing, personnel health, environmental hygiene and raw material use, as well as organized testing agencies to spot-inspect food, raw materials and finished products.
Beginning last year, the Zhongshan Administration for Market Regulation adopted this form of unannounced inspection and launched a "Universal Restaurant Inspection" campaign throughout Zhongshan. In the near future, the bureau will also carry out inspections on online food orders, large business districts, online celebrity restaurants and tourist attractions.
