Zhongshan Traffic Police Detachment on January 2 released the news that the revised "Rewarding Measures for Reporting Traffic Violations in Zhongshan City" had taken effect.

The Measures stipulate that reporting 24 types of traffic violations can be rewarded. The rewards are divided into five grades: 1,000 yuan, 500 yuan, 200 yuan, 100 yuan and 50 yuan.

In addition, the Measures once again standardize the reward system for reporting hit-and-run cases, with a maximum reward of 5,000 yuan.

Citizens can report traffic violations and crimes through phone calls, Weibo, WeChat, letters and presence at the traffic police detachment.
