On the morning of June 22, the Zhongshan Public Security Bureau held a press briefing on anti-drug special operation. The Bureau reported on the effectiveness of its anti-drug law enforcement work since 2019 and the current anti-drug situation. Recent typical cases were also reported on.

Since 2019, Zhongshan police handled a total of 477 drug crime cases, eliminated 59 drug trafficking gangs, arrested 576 drug suspects, investigated and dealt with 2,296 drug addicts, and seized 7.42 kilograms of various drugs and 5.4 tons of precursor chemicals.

After continuous operations, Zhongshan sees improving anti-drug situation. For the next stage, Zhongshan's public security and anti-drug departments will continue to launch the anti-drug campaign to crack down on drug manufacturing and drug trafficking as well as to control drug manufacturing articles and drug addicts.
