On the afternoon of June 23, the Zhongshan Anti-Drug Commission held a publicity campaign, with the theme "I am an Anti-Drug Fighter", at Zhongshan Broadcasting & Television Station. This campaign was also intended for June 26, the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The activity kicked off with the historical short film Destruction of Opium at Humen. Then, teenagers expressed their determination to declare war on drugs and maintain a harmonious homeland by reading the "Anti-Smoking Law".
Vice mayor Zheng Zehui delivered a speech on behalf of the Zhongshan People's Government and Zhongshan Anti-Drug Commission. He stressed that Zhongshan will strive to develop itself into a model anti-drug city is by creating a safe and stable social environment.
At the event site, awards were also given to the winning works and outstanding organizational work units in Zhongshan's First Anti-drug Public Service Advertisement Creation Competition.
