The Regulations on Support Funds for Doctorate and Post-doctorate Students in Zhongshan will take effect starting December 1, 2021.
The regulations clearly outline the support types, subjects, scope, subsidy standards, procedures, supervision and management of support funds for doctoral and post-doctoral researchers.
Postdoctoral researchers working in workstations or bases in Zhongshan can apply for R&D expenditure and living allowance 3 months after joining a research base. The R&D expenditure is 54,000 yuan/year, which can be applied for once a year for a maximum of 2 years; The living allowance is 150,000 yuan/person/year, which is paid monthly for up to 2 years.
In order to encourage research bases to attract highly educated prospects from overseas and invite foreign doctoral researchers from the world's top 200 universities recognized by their respective industries, Zhongshan will offer the researchers a living allowance of 300,000 yuan/person/year with the maximum term of 2 years if they enter the research station for the first time and are under 35 years old. Doctoral researchers who work in Zhongshan after leaving the station will be given a subsidy of 400,000 yuan for house purchasing.
In addition, for doctorate and post-doctorate researchers introduced from abroad who work in Zhongshan after leaving the station and are under 45 years old, an additional living allowance of 100,000 yuan will be provided.
