ZS athlete wins gold of men's park final of skateboarding

Chen Ye from Zhongshan, Guangdong Province on September 25 won the Men's Park Final of Skateboarding at the Hangzhou Asian Games with a score of 84.41 points after three rounds of competition. This gold medal is the first in the history of China's skateboarding at the Asian Games.

The 15-year-old boy was born in Zhongshan in 2008. He began to learn skateboarding in 2016 and joined the Guangdong Skateboarding Team in 2019. In 2020, Chen won the silver medal at the National Championships. In 2021, he became the youngest player to enter the Park Skateboarding Final at the National Games and won the silver medal. In 2022, he claimed the championship in the national training team trials.

On the evening of September 25, Wang Xue'er from Zhongshan won the gold medal in the women's 50m backstroke final at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center swimming pool, with a time of 27"35"'. This marked the third gold medal won by Zhongshan athletes at this year's Asian Games.
