A 2023-2024 season match of the 21st round of the WCBA Zhongshan Division took place in Zhongshan Gymnasium on the evening of December 11.

Guangdong Team beat Fujian Team 93:51 to get off to a good start this season at home in Zhongshan, while the team also won four consecutive games in the season.

Guangdong's Olivia Nelson-Ododa scored the highest 21 points in just 17 minutes, with Yang Shuyu, Chen Mingling and Huang Sijing scoring 15 points, 10 points and 8 assists, and 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, respectively.

As an alumnus of Sanxin Bilingual School in Zhongshan, Yang Shuyu has rapidly grown into a national team player in the past few years, winning the bronze medal in 3X3 Basketball Women at the Tokyo Olympic Games, the championship in FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2023, and the gold medal in women's basketball at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou.
