In order to improve the emergency rescue capability of the public and encourage more people to learn emergency rescue skills, the Chinese Red Cross Foundation is organizing a city orienteering named Ready Go Challenge 2024 on January 21 in Zhongshan.
Schedule
Registration: January 2-7
Competition: 8:30-12:30, January 21 (Sunday)
Competition Route
● Participants can choose either clockwise or counter clockwise directions.
● Gatehouse of Jinzhonghu Park (Starting/Ending Point) → Guxianglin Park → Butterfly Floral Boat → Qixiang Pavilion → Leisure Station → Yunjian Pavilion → Gatehouse of Jinzhonghu Park (Ending/Starting Point)
Requirements
Each team is composed of 5 members, and at least one member shall be the opposite gender of the rest. The age is required to be 14-65. After registration, team members are not allowed to be replaced. All team members need to be present on the day of competition. Signed-up teams will receive emergency rescue training before the competition.
Fee
100 yuan per person. Each team has five members (at least one member of the opposite sex), and the fee is 500 yuan per team. (A total of 950 participants and 190 teams)
How to sign up
Step 1
● Follow "红气球挑战赛" or "红气球Ready Go" on Wechat.
● Click "赛事官网" to enter the official website.
Step 2
Choose "大湾区站" (GBA), click "报名" (registration), and fill in your personal information.
Step 3
● Build your team as the leader
Click "我要当队长" (I'm the team leader), fill in your team information, get a team QR code/team code and share it to your members.
● Members joining
Scan the team QR code, or click "我要当队员" then enter the team code.
Signed-up teams will receive a message.
Rewards
All contestants will be provided with uniforms, competition bags, number cloths, task maps, bandaging materials and other items. Contestants who finish the competition before closing time can receive a finishing medal and check the online completion certificate on the official website.
Competition
① Each team need to find task points along the route and complete all tasks required.
Tasks: CPR & AED operation, treatment of airway obstruction, safety knowledge quiz, fracture fixation of lower leg & stretcher handling, forearm wound dressing (according to the training and operation requirements of Red Cross first-aiders).
② The closing time will be 12:30.
③ Three supply points will be set up at 3, 6 and 9 kilometers on the route to provide water and snacks. The organizing committee will also set up medical stations at the supply points and the ending point.
④ As a part of the Zhongshan Charity Parade 2024, the Ready Go Challenge 2024 (Greater Bay Area) will include a fundraising activity. The money raised will be used for public emergency rescue training and construction of emergency rescue facilities in Zhongshan.
