The second area of the Chengyi Waisha Sci-tech City, an industrial renovation project in Shenwan Town, started construction on February 22, the 5th working day after the Spring Festival holiday.

The second area covers approximately 61 mu, with a building area of 132,000 square meters and a total investment of 488 million yuan. It is expected to be completed by the end of this year and put into operation in the middle of 2025. Upon completion, it is estimated to achieve an annual output value of 800 million yuan and a total tax revenue of over 20 million yuan, and to offer more than 6,000 jobs.

"Currently, the second area has attracted 20 new material manufacturers from Shenzhen, Dongguan and others, and three of them have an annual output value of over 100 million yuan," said Luo Liumeng, chairman of Chengyi Holdings, adding that the second area plans to introduce over 50 enterprises.

As one of the two 1,000-mu modern theme industrial parks in Shenwan Town, Chengyi Waisha Sci-tech City covers a total area of 818 mu. Since the construction started in in August 2022, some 180,000 square meters of high-standard industrial facilities of the Phase 1 and Phase 2 have been completed and delivered. Hundreds of enterprises, including sixteen 100-million-yuan-level ones, will settle here.
