Zhongshan's Cuiheng New District and the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on April 24, and the two sides will jointly build a headquarters base for SRDI enterprises.
Founded in 1988, the CECC has over 14,000 members. It plans to invest 5 billion yuan to build the SRDI base and actively attract SRDI enterprises and high-quality enterprises in the next-generation information technology and related sectors at home and abroad to settle in Zhongshan.
The SRDI base will be constructed in two phases. Phase 1 will introduce at least 50 upstream and downstream enterprises in the electronic information industry. Upon the completion of phase 2, at least 100 SMEs will be introduced.
The two sides will expedite the establishment of ecosystem for industrial development, and in due course, organize national industry summit forums, seminars, exchange meetings and other activities in Zhongshan. Plans also include establishing a development fund for innovation-oriented SRDI enterprises.
