Reading Mi, known as "the most beautiful bookstore in China", will open in Zhongshan on September 8 this year.
Located on 3F and 4F of the TopPark in Torch Development Zone, Reading Mi has a building area of more than 2,000 square meters. With an ingenious "Knowledge Tree" design, it will offer fresh reading experiences to book lovers in Zhongshan.
Chu Chih-kang, a renowned designer from Taiwan, China specializing in book culture space design, is responsible for the Zhongshan Reading Mi project. He has also designed such bookstores in China as Fang Suo Commune, Tsutaya Bookstore and the eslite bookstore.
"In the future, when readers stand on the second floor of Reading Mi in Zhongshan, they are not only in a place to take photos and purchase books, but also in a space called Knowledge Tree that allows human-human and human-space interactions." Chu Chih-kang hopes Reading Mi can awaken people's passion for reading.
Over the past decade, Reading Mi has opened bookstores in over 10 cities of 6 provinces across China. It has been awarded as "the most beautiful bookstore in China" and "model bookstore for nationwide reading" by multiple organizations.
