The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Zhongshan) Development Promotion Seminar was held in Zhongshan on June 3.
At the seminar, government departments of Hong Kong and Zhongshan exchanged views on such topics as new cooperation and development opportunities for the Greater Bay Area, business and investment environment, policies for youth innovation and entrepreneurship, taxation and social security policies and services, and talent-related programs.
Three young entrepreneurs from Hong Kong and Macao shared their experiences in starting a business in Zhongshan. Hong Kong actor Ho Chun-hin, who once previously lived in Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shantou, decided to open a restaurant in Zhongshan's Gangkou Town.
He was impressed by Zhongshan's efficiency and services, as the whole process from applying for a residence permit and an entrepreneurship certificate to opening the restaurant can be completed just in a month.
The seminar was also broadcast online, with over 2,000 people from enterprises, chambers of commerce and associations of foreign-invested enterprises in Guangdong and Hong Kong participating.
