On September 3, Ms Rachel Crump, the Consul General of New Zealand in Guangzhou, led a delegation to visit Zhongshan City and received a warm welcome from the Vice Mayor Ouyang Jinhuan.
The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on expanding cooperation in various fields such as economics, trade, people-to-people exchanges and culture, further solidifying the foundation of their partnership.
It is reported that six New Zealand companies have already invested in establishing factories in Zhongshan.
From January to July this year, Zhongshan's total exports to New Zealand reached 330 million yuan, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 24.5% and indicating a continued positive trend in bilateral trade relations.
