The European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong visited Zhongshan on January 17.

Representatives of over 30 enterprises from the Netherlands, Greece, Iran, Australia, France, Chile, Italy and other countries and regions visited multiple European-funded enterprises in Zhongshan's Torch Development Zone for research on location advantages, business environment, industrial planning, sci-tech innovation, etc.

Currently, there are about 140 direct European-funded enterprises in Zhongshan, with an aggregate investment of 960 million US dollars. In the first 11 months in 2024, Zhongshan had 22 more direct European-funded enterprises, with an actual amount of foreign capital used reaching 21.02 million yuan, up 859.8% year-on-year. During the same period, Zhongshan had 378 more direct Hong Kong-funded enterprises, up 10.9% year-on-year, with an actual amount of foreign capital used exceeding 1 billion yuan.
