After seedling raising and arrangement, the new rice varieties "Nanjing Xianglian Guanghong 3" and "19 Xiang" have been growing well in the brackish water experimental fields in Haigang Village, Shenwan Town. It is now the optimal time for the seedling transplanting.

The experimental base covers an area of 30 mu (2 hectares), with two varieties of Hechong (tylorrhynchus heterochaetus) Rice trial growing here. The harvest is expected in November this year, and by year-end, cultivation can be rolled out on the mudflat farmland in Shenwan Town.

According to the agricultural department of Shenwan Town, cultivation will be rolled out on the 1,000-mu farmland by the Xijiang River in Haigang Village, and the yield is expected to reach 250 kg/mu.
