The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province on November 28 announced the sixth list and the third re-approved list of SRDI (Specialized, Refined, Differential and Innovational) "little giant" enterprises.

A total of 17 enterprises in Zhongshan made the lists, including 14 in the sixth list and 3 in the re-approved list.

Sirui, an optical company based in Zhongshan's Wuguishan, is one of the newly recognized "little giants". After 18 years' development, it has developed full-industry chain independent R&D and production capacity.

In 2014, Sirui tapped into to the optical field, focusing on the development and production of replaceable optical lenses. The company has invested 300 million yuan in building an independent optical R&D base, and gradually become a leader in the optical imaging industry.

Currently, Sirui has 241 patents granted worldwide, including 69 invention patents. It boasts an R&D team composed of industry scholars and optical experts.

More than 70% of Sirui's products are exported to overseas markets, and its total sales this year are expected to exceed 450 million yuan.
