The main structure of Qijiang New Town School in East District was topped out recently. The school is scheduled to open in September this year.

With a land area of 46,812.3 square meters and a total building area of 72,611.8 square meters, it is an information-based boarding junior middle school built following high standards.

The new school will hold 60 classes, providing education services to 3,000 students. Starting September this year, junior grade two and three students of Songyuan Middle School will study here.

Located on the east side of Changjiang North Road, Qijiang New Town School has three teaching buildings, two dormitory buildings, one activity center, a 400-meter standard sports ground, an 800-seat multi-functional conference hall, a 300-seat small conference hall, an indoor stadium, covered sports fields, a library, a canteen, dormitories, 64 classrooms, 11 laboratories, and over 30 multi-purpose rooms.
