"These packed in the flight cases are pure niobium 9-cell superconducting accelerating cavities. We are working at full capacity on production, equipment installation and operation, and talent recruitment in order to meet the clients' demands," said He Lin, general manager of Hechao Manufacturing, adding that the products will be used in China's major research research facilities in fields such as aerospace, nuclear energy and semiconductors.

Hechao Manufacturing settled in Zhongshan's Sanjiao last year, with an initial investment of 200 million yuan to build factories and introduce new equipment. It mainly engages in producing products in the accelerator industry chain, such as superconducting accelerating cavities. "Upon completion, the phase one project is expected to achieve an annual output value of over 400 million yuan," said He Lin.

Hechao Manufacturing was founded by a professor of Harbin Institute of Technology, with core members of the R&D team from the State Key Laboratory of Precision Welding & Joining of Materials and Structures of HIT. The R&D team has developed China's first manufacturing techniques of pure niobium 9-cell superconducting accelerating cavities, which filled a domestic gap and broke the foreign monopoly.

Currently, Hechao Manufacturing is capable of the full-process production of multiple types of superconducting accelerating cavities. It has established cooperation with such research institutions as the Institute of Modern Physics and the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, and its products are widely applied to national major scientific research facilities.

Besides, Hechao Manufacturing has developed 6 technology platforms for precision machining, special surface treatment and etc, and gradually applies its production techniques to more fields such as aerospace, nuclear power and semiconductors.
