The Zhongshan Bureau of Commerce held an information session on Latin American (Mexico and Brazil) market expansion and the Canton Fair on February 26. The activity provided useful information in terms of market analysis, policy interpretation and resource platforms, attracting over 100 foreign trade enterprises in Zhongshan.

Mexico and Brazil are regional economic powerhouses with great market demands that are highly compatible with Zhongshan's industries. Their demands for home appliances, new energy products and consumer electronics are booming.

Notably, Brazil plans to establish a 10,000-square-meter exhibition center for Chinese products in central Águas Lindas. It will serve as a one-stop service platform for product display and business matchmaking.

Zhongshan has been implementing the overseas market expansion plan since 2023, helping over 5,000 enterprises participate in overseas exhibitions, with intended orders worth over 15 billion yuan secured.

In 2024, Zhongshan's foreign trade reached a record high of 284 billion yuan. The total import-export value to Latin American countries rose 34% from a year earlier to 29.6 billion yuan.
