Zheng Dali, son of renowned film master Zheng Junli, also a film director, returned to his hometown Zhongshan and discussed the plan for the movie-culture-tourism development with the Sanxiang town government.
Zheng Junli (1911-1969) was an icon in Chinese film history. His works such as The Spring River Flows Eastand Crows and Sparrowsare hailed as classics of the times.
During this visit, Zheng Dali brought a special gift to Zhongshan. He donated all of his father's literature materials to Sanxiang, which bear witness to the film master's art life and represent the collective memory of Chinese filmmakers.
"My father's achievements belong to Chinese film industry and, even more so, to Sanxiang Town. I hope these materials can provide a cornerstone for the revitalization of the Zheng Junli culture in my hometown and help the younger generation understand Zheng Junli," said Zheng Dali.
