The 2025 National Cooking Competition of Local Specialties was recently held in Jian'ou City, Fujian Province, attracting over 100 outstanding chefs from 47 cities across the country to showcase various delicacies.
As a representing local dish of Guangdong Province, the roast Shiqi pigeons prepared by Chen Shaoyun, executive chef of the a restaurant in Zhongshan, claimed a gold award -- one of Guangdong's only two gold awards -- at the competition.
