Personnel from Mingyang Group caught nearly 5,000 kilograms of fish in the offshore area 100 kilometers away from the coast of Yangjiang, Guangdong province on November 10. Mingyu No.1, the world's first integrated intelligent equipment involving wind power generation and fish farming developed and operated by Mingyang Group, saw the first harvest of fish.
In August this year, Mingyu No.1 launched intelligent deep-sea breeding of golden pomfret, pioneering the integration of offshore wind power generation and fish farming. It is also the world's first low-carbon fishery model that integrates green electricity and direct supply aquaculture.
Mingyu No.1, independently developed by Mingyang Group, is able to resist typhoons seen on average once every 50 years and is capable of withstanding up to Category-17 super typhoons. Additionally, the equipment is designed with an intelligent fishery aquaculture system, enabling intelligent feeding and monitoring and automatic net cleaning and fish catching functions through the utilization of big data and AI computing technology.
In Mingyang Group's big data center in Zhongshan, staff members can get updated on the breeding and harvest of fish through the display screens.
In recent years, Mingyang Group has put great efforts in accelerating the integration of wind power generation and fish farming. In early 2022, Mingyang Group's first demonstration wind power-fishery project in China welcomed a harvest of fish in the Shapa sea area near Yangjiang.
Model MyAC-JS05, the first wind power-fishery integrated equipment with jacket wind turbines and net cages independently developed by Mingyang Group, was completed and put into operation in July 2023 at Mingyang's offshore wind farm project in Yangjiang.
