More than 40 overseas Chinese leaders from over 30 countries and regions on November 28 visited the city of Zhongshan, where they experienced the city's practice in pursuing Chinese modernization. It was one of the activities of the 15th Overseas Fellowship Seminar organized by the Guangdong Province Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.
Most participating overseas Chinese leaders came to Zhongshan for the first time. They visited the Zhongshan History Museum of Overseas Chinese, Shaxi Town, South District and Cuiheng New District, where they learned how to make traditional food, experienced Ma's Spear, an intangible cultural heritage item, visited the Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, a mega project under construction, learned about the history of Huangpu preserved meat, and explored the global appeal of Zhongshan-made small household appliances.
