The Symposium on Zhongshan's International Communication Strategies in the New Era was held on December 10 at the Zhongshan International Communication Center.

The Translation and International Communication Base in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, CICG Academy of Translation and Interpretation, co-founded by the Publicity Department of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, CICG Academy of Translation and Interpretation and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, was unveiled at the conference. This is an important move Zhongshan takes to further strengthen its international communication capacity and enhance the city's image. The three sides will promote the in-depth integration of government, industry, university, research and application and jointly build an international communication hub within the GBA by establishing a mechanism, building three major platforms and implementing multiple projects.

In recent years, relying on its abundant resources of history, culture, celebrities and overseas Chinese, Zhongshan has been actively exploring, strengthening and improving its international communication capacity, and has seen rising international influence and popularity. Statistics show that Zhongshan is in the front rank in overseas communication power among China's prefecture-level cities, and it was selected as one of the Successful Cases in International Communication of Chinese Cities for 2022.
