The 37th Zhongshan Charity Parade was held on the morning of February 24, also the Lantern Festival. Over 300 parade teams, comprising caring residents and people from all walks of life, and nearly 20 art performing teams, strode along Xingzhong Avenue and interacted with the audience on both sides, creating an atmosphere filled with love, harmony and joy.
At the starting ceremony, commemorative medals for charity were issued, and charity donation checks were delivered. A special thank-you ceremony was also held to express gratitude and respect to caring enterprises and individuals. It is reported that the total donations for this year's event reached a record high of 152 million yuan.
At the event, dragon-themed performances, such as Guzhen Liufang Cloud Dragon, Changzhou Drunken Dragon, Qiwan Golden Dragon and Yakou Board Dragon, as well as intangible cultural heritage performances, such as Nanlang Yakou Piaose, Sanjiao Kylin Dance, Shachong Ma's Spear and Chaoshan Yingge Dance, were staged one after another, fascinating residents along the way and bringing the event to a climax.
