A Fengzhou-90 cargo drone that took off from Chiwan Container Terminal in Shenzhen arrived at Hongchang Logistics Park in Zhongshan's Xiaolan Town on April 12. This marked the official launch of the first cross-sea low-altitude commercial logistics route within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The opening of this route will significantly improve the express logistics efficiency and reduce logistics cost between Zhongshan and Shenzhen, and infused new vitality into the development of enterprises.
The maiden flight, traveling at a speed of approximately 30 meters per second, took 45 minutes and covered a distance of 71.7 kilometers. The cargo delivered from Shenzhen to Zhongshan was a box of squabs and paper documents.
"We will further the construction and operation of logistics networks within and between Shenzhen and Zhongshan," said Jiang Mingtao, founder and vice president of Phoenix Wings.
● The Shenzhen-Zhongshan intercity logistics route operates between Nanshan District, Shenzhen and Xiaolan Town, Zhongshan, with a one-way travel time of approximately 4 hours.
● The maximum weight of a single order is 10 kg, with the maximum size of 0.6 by 0.4 by 0.3 meters.
● Service hours: 9:00-18:00, Monday to Saturday (excluding extreme weather and airspace control).
● Pricing rules: A combination of starting fare, additional weight charge and distance charge. The current time-limited promotion price is 40 yuan in total.
