During the 2nd Conference for Overseas Chinese to Promote High-quality Development (Zhongshan) held in San Jose on May 14, local time, the Zhongshan Association of Overseas Chinese Enterprises signed a cooperation agreement with the Chinese-Costa Rican Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

The cooperation agreement was signed to boost business ties between Zhongshan and Costa Rica. Overseas Chinese from nearly 20 countries and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan attended the event. Over 400 overseas Chinese leaders, businessmen, and young overseas Chinese discussed the topic of promoting Zhongshan's high-quality development.

The Zhongshan Commodity Exhibition was held during the event, featuring over 260 quality products of 38 enterprises, covering such competitive sectors as smart home, electronic appliances, lighting, magic life, hardware and bathroom supplies. The commodity exhibition center for Costa Rica (San Jose) and China (Zhongshan) has been established to showcase all these exhibits throughout the year as well as to help "Zhongshan Quality Manufacturing" continuously expand the Latin American market.
