In the 2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Zhongshan) Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament, which took place on June 10, Jyrki Luomala, a Finnish executive and member of the Nanxia team in Zhongshan, demonstrated exceptional skill.

Jyrki, who serves as the president of a company based in Italy with its Chinese headquarters in Zhongshan, has been involved in dragon boat racing for 26 years. He has competed in the World Dragon Boat Championships five times, earning two gold medals. 

Jyrki says that dragon boating is the world's fastest-growing water sport, rich in culture and highly conducive to teamwork. Through this sport, he has cultivated numerous friendships within the Zhongshan community.
