Twenty customized luxury buses, which serve as the first batch of shuttle buses for the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link (ShenZhong Link), have been put in place, and they will be put into operation simultaneously with the Link. These shuttle buses will operate 24 hours a day, running through the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link as scheduled.
The shuttle bus operating company has established a Zhongshan Distribution Center at the East Exit of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link in Ma'an Island, Cuiheng New District, for the operation of shuttle buses and connecting buses. The distribution center covers an area of about 3.33 hectares with two service halls covering 3,200 square meters for shuttle bus services and connecting bus services.
The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link crosses the Lingdingyang estuary, where the north-south convective winds on the sea surface reach a speed of force six or more for more than 220 days a year. In view of the environment of driving on the Link, the large passenger vehicles selected for the shuttle buses should primarily have the ability to resist crosswinds. To enhance the safety of the shuttle bus, the operating company has specially customized high-safety-performance luxury buses, equipped with a driving behavior acquisition system for the drivers.
The tickets for the shuttle bus will be available through online platforms. Stay tuned.
