A business matchmaking conference, joined by the Guangdong High-Tech Industry Chamber delegation, was held in Zhongshan on July 10.
Before the meeting, the GHIC delegation visited Cuiheng New District to inspect the planning exhibition center, the exhibition center for famous industrial consumer goods, the Zhongshan Biomedicine and Health Industry Exhibition Center and the Zhongshan Life Science Park, where they gained a comprehensive understanding of Zhongshan and Cuiheng's development.
Wang Lizong, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and president of the GHIC, believed Zhongshan boasts rich cultural deposits, a favorable business environment and distinctive industries. The newly opened ShenZhong Link further reduces the distance between Zhongshan and cities on the east bank of the Pearl River Estuary, leading to more convenient, efficient flows of factor resources and stronger desires for enterprises to invest in Zhongshan.
Han Peigang, dean of the College of New Materials and New Energies of Shenzhen Technology University, said Shenzhen boasts many higher education resources. Numerous top-notch overseas students have brought back cutting-edge technologies to China, and Zhongshan is an excellent place for entrepreneurship, industrial incubation and the development of emerging industries.
Zhou Tao, chairman of Shenzhen-based company Eastlong, stated that low costs of living, favorable business policies and outstanding platforms and services help enterprises develop faster here in Zhongshan.
Wan Junhua, chairman of Cantonese Popular Group, said the company intends to make some investments in Zhongshanin such fields as low-altitude economy, marine equipment, modern agricultural processing, food and medicine and etc.
