The 5th Zhongshan Cross-Strait Forum opened in Zhongshan on September 7. Young people, doctorate degree holders and baseball players from Taiwan visited Zhongshan, where they were inspired by the patriotic ideals and the spirit of hard work of Dr. Sun Yat-sen and got better understanding of fine traditional Chinese culture.

On the same day, nearly 70 young people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait participated in a history and culture exploration camp. They visited the Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, Zhongshan Studio City, Yakou Village in Nanlang District among other places to trace the footsteps of Sun Yat-sen.

The diverse and colorful activities, including watching a video about Sun Yat-sen, visiting Sun Yat-sen's former residence and learning about his stories, helped young people have a more intuitive and profound understanding of Sun Yat-sen's home environment, growth and revolutionary thoughts. At the Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the young people took group photos and presented flowers to Sun Yat-sen's bronze statue.

On that morning, 30 Taiwanese doctorate degree holders who attended an enterprise tour of the 5th Zhongshan Cross-Strait Forum also visited Sun Yat-sen's former residence and the the Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen.

The 2023 "Zhongshan Cup" Cross-Strait Youth Baseball Invitational was held in Xiaolan Town from September 8 to 11, with a total of 278 athletes of 11 baseball teams from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan participating. On the morning of September 7, some players from Taiwan visited Sun Yat-sen's former residence.
