The Zhongshan Cantonese Opera Culture Week cum the "Torch Impression" Cultural Carnival opened at the Deneng Lake Park in Torch Development Zone on the evening of October 14.

A Golden Earth Concert and an art show to mark the 125th anniversary of Lyu Wencheng's birth were held as parts of the Zhongshan Cantonese Opera Culture Week. Classic pieces were performed to highlight the legacy and innovation of Cantonese music over the past century, including some created by Lyu Wencheng, such as Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake and Rising Higher Step By Step.

Upcoming activities include cultural and creative markets, starry food markets and folk culture performances will take place at the Deneng Lake Park square and the footpaths.
