During the 15th China Cup International Regatta just concluded on November 6, the Zhongshan sailing team clinched the champion of the IRC group.

The China Cup International Regatta took place from November 2 to 6 in Daya Bay, Shenzhen City. It attracted over 200 teams with more than 1,200 contestants from 30 countries and regions around the world.

This year's competition included 11 groups. The Zhongshan sailing team took part in the IRC group, with a total of 25 teams competing. Up to now, Zhongshan has claimed the IRC group champion at the China Cup International Regatta for two consecutive years.

Since its establishment in December last year, the Zhongshan sailing team takes active part in major sailing competitions at home and abroad. It won the FE group champion at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Regatta (Guangzhou) in 2022, and the IRC group champion at the Macao International Regatta in 2023.
