Deneng Lake Park was packed with people on the evening of July 6. The 2024 Lotus Culture Week of Torch High-tech Zone kicked off here and will run through July 14.

This year's event offers visitors experiences in beautiful scenery, tasty food, intangible cultural heritage, entertainment, health and consumption. An auto show, a traditional Chinese medicine-themed night market and a food market will be held concurrently.

On the opening day, an art show was held jointly by Shenzhen's Longgang and Zhongshan's Torch High-tech Zone. A series of wonderful performances of singing, dancing and folk music playing were staged to showcase the unique charm of traditional culture in both Zhongshan and Shenzhen.
