Activities for the 2024 Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Day were launched at the Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Park on November 10.

At the launch ceremony, a written proposal on the protection, renovation and utilization of overseas Chinese houses was released, encouraging Zhongshanese residing abroad to protect and repair their houses, or cooperate with local village committees to revitalize the houses through entrusted management or donation.

Pefect China, a well-known overseas Chinese-invested enterprise in Zhongshan, donated 5 million yuan to Zhongshan, which will be used for the construction of beautiful countryside.

Relevant departments also signed framework cooperation agreements with overseas Chinese societies and business associations, aiming to carry out overseas Chinese affairs and business exchanges and cooperation as well as to pursue common development between overseas Chinese societies, business associations, enterprises and Zhongshan.

A special edition of Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Journal on overseas Chinese village tours was launched on the same day.
