The departure ceremony for the World Master Cantonese Cuisine Chefs' Journey to Singapore event was held at Zhongshan Youshan Restaurant on the evening of January 20.
Two chefs from Zhongshan, Guo Juyou and Yang Die, will bring Zhongshan specialty dishes "dried bass" and "big sesame balls", which also represent Chinese cuisine culture, to the people of Singapore.
The "Walking Reunion Dinner on Chinese Lunar New Year's Eve 2025" event will soon take place in Singapore, where 10 World Master Cantonese Cuisine Chefs from all over Guangdong will prepare the most traditional and innovative fusion food for Singapore people and international friends to let them experience Chinese New Year vibe and the charming Chinese cuisine culture.
"Dried bass has been passed down for over a hundred years. This time I will prepare a special dish with ingredients made from secret recipes of my family. I hope I can promote Zhongshan food to all parts of the world," said Guo Juyou.
"I will prepare big sesame balls in Singapore. This is an intangible cultural heritage dish of Zhongshan with a very auspicious meaning. What we try to do is deliver both delicious food and Cantonese culture to the world," said Yang Die.
