66 experts of animal epidemic prevention from 21 Guangdong municipal cities and Shunde District gathered in Zhongshan for Guangdong Professional Skills Competition of Animal Epidemic Prevention yesterday. The competition lasts for 2 days, covering theory test and practical operations. Hosted by Provincial Department of Agriculture, the competition is undertaken by Guangdong Animal Health Supervision, Zhongshan Agriculture Bureau and assisted by Zhongshan Animal Health Inspection. In yesterday’s game, the competitors successively finished the theory test, venous blood collection of chicken wing, blood collection of chicken heart, dissection and sampling of chicken, etc. This morning, they will continue operation sections including injection of swine fever vaccine, blood collection in the anterior vena cava of swine, etc.

The top six competitors will enter the final selection after intensive training, and the top three of them will participate in the 2nd National Animal Professional Skills Competition of Animal Epidemic Prevention on behalf of Guangdong province.
