Zhou Xueqing gave up her teaching career and then concentrated on embroidery by opening up her own studio. She has created a lot of magnificent and splendid works by combining and making full use of distinctive essence of Suzhou and Guangdong embroidery. For example, the five-meter long Suzhou embroidery Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival was exhibited in many places and received high industry appreciation. In addition, she has won many awards and gained a good reputation these years. At present, she has decided to come back to campus to interpret her unique “craftsman spirit ” through teaching embroidery craft, training skillful craftsman and encouraging the youth with creativity.
