A provincial inspection team assigned by Guangdong Provincial People's Congress arrived in Zhongshan on the morning of Sept. 8th to inspect the construction work of complete waste collection and removal system in Zhongshan. Guangdong Provincial Government set the goal of finishing construction of county-level waste collection and removal systems early this year to cover 90% villages, to reduce rural garbage classification by 30%, and to handle properly 80% of rural garbage. The plan has clear stage goals. So far, the cleaning plan has covered 95.03% of all villages in Guangdong Province. Garbage classification has been reduced by 33.55, and 80.28% of rural garbage has been handled properly. The Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial People's Congress assigned representatives to Zhongshan and other cities to inspect the management of rural garbage disposal and removal.
