According to Notification of Carrying out Experimental Reform of National Education System released by the State Council recently, ten tasks of the reform are clearly defined from three aspects of specific reforms, comprehensive reforms in key areas and comprehensive reforms in provincial education coordination.

The specific reforms mainly include establishing and improving the education mechanism, accelerating development of preschool education, promoting balanced development of compulsory education, solving school selection problems from different ways, reforming talents training mode, improving the quality of higher education talents training, reforming higher education management and running pattern, establishing modern university system, improving development environment of non-government funded education and teacher management system, upgrading education security level and so on.

Zhongshan will participate in two pilot projects of the reform. One is about exploring the professional titles and ranks system for school headmasters and intensifying the professional titles and ranks system reform for school teachers, the other is establishing and improving the school running mechanism with government leading, industry direction and enterprise participation.
