The 13th Guangdong Challenge Cup Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition for University Students (short as GD Challenge Cup) recently completed its finals. Guangdong Polytechnic Institute (GDPI) won the Grand Prize in the category of mechanics and automation, the only polytechnic institute in the list of the Grand Prize.

Besides the Grand Prize, GDPI won a second prize in the category of energy and chemical industry and a third prize in the category of philosophy.
