With the increase of new residential buildings and registered population, there is a big gap between the enrollment quota of public schools and the school education needs of migrant workers' children in Shenwan Town. With a number of vigorous measures, Shenwan plans a new public school for nine-year compulsory education.

The new school, which has room for 36 classes and a maximum of 1,680 primary and middle school students, is expected to be put into use in September 2020. Within its first year, four primary school and four middle school classes will be opened, providing education for up to 400 students.

The new public school will be a supporting facility of the land development project by Sino-Ocean Group. It covers an area of 38,800 square meters, with a construction area of 25,062 square meters. A teaching complex, a gymnasium, a cafeteria and dormitory building, and a standard sports ground with a 400-meter running track will also be built for the school.
